Mitchel Musso performed a free concert September 4, 2010 on the Chevy Court stage at the New York State Fair.
Best known for his role as Oliver on the Disney Channel original series “Hannah Montana,” actor Mitchel Musso has gained quite a following for his musical endeavors as well.
In 2009, he released his self-titled debut album, which premiered at #19 on the Billboard 200 chart. With popular singles on Radio Disney like “The In Crowd” and “Hey,” Musso’s music has also been featured on movie soundtracks for Disney‘s “Princess Protection Program” (starring Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez), “Hatching Pete” (starring Tiffany Thornton) and “Snow Buddies” (starring Whoopi Goldberg and Jim Belushi).
Musso, who is currently on the set of his new Disney TV series, “Pair of Kings,” which premieres in September, talked about his upcoming performance at the New York State Fair.
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “Have you spent any time in Central New York before?”
Mitchel Musso: “Of course! I’ve been there a bunch of times for different promotional things and for recording music.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “What’s your favorite song to sing this year?”
Mitchel Musso: “Any song off Eminem‘s new album.” [Revised answer to include the song he sings on tour.] “Open the Door”

Michael Aaron Gallagher: “As a multitalented entertainer, how do you find time to balance all the different facets of your career? Have you always been so driven to work on a lot of projects at once, or is multitasking something you’ve had to learn over the years?”
Mitchel Musso: “It’s a gift. It just comes to certain people. I’ve always been a multitasker and I get bored if I’m not being a rockstar.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “Many people know you for your role on Hannah Montana. Now that you are moving on from that role, are you looking forward to spending more time working on your music?”
Mitchel Musso: “I always work on my music. There isn’t a single day I’m not either writing or recording.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “Will there be any surprises at your New York State Fair show? Will you be doing a meet-and-greet for the fans?”
Mitchel Musso: “Yes and yes. It’s a whole new show. New music and 100 times crazier!”
