“Jaidan Jiron loves being on set”
Exclusive Interview by Michael Aaron Gallagher of StayFamous.Net

Jaidan Jiron
There was no shortage of excitement in her voice as actress Jaidan Jiron described her upcoming episode of the Nickelodeon series Deadtime Stories, a television adaptation of the popular children’s books by sisters Annette and Gina Cascone. For the 12-year-old from Temecula, California, acting is a thrill.
Although she is only in 7th grade, Jaidan has already done print modeling for Target and appeared in television commercials for AT&T, Walgreens, Comcast, Walmart, Burger King and even worked with legendary director Ron Howard on a public service announcement for the Boys & Girls Club.
In a recent interview with StayFamous.Net, Jaidan talked about how she got her start in Hollywood and her new project Deadtime Stories: Invasion of the Appleheads, starring Jennifer Stone.
“My character is Katie Lawrence,” Jaidan said. “And basically her parents take her sightseeing (her and her brother) and they’re just really bored and not happy with it. And then they get to this old orchard, which is supposed to be abandoned.”
Of course, that is when the scary adventure really begins.
“I got to be brave and it was fun to get to be the one who’s trying to save everybody,” Jaidan said. “I just think that kids will really enjoy this book series. It’s a little creepy, but in a fun way. And I’m really excited to see my episode and the others.”

Like many great entertainers, Jaidan started acting at a young age.
“Well, ever since I was 5, I’ve seen people on TV… and I’ve always wanted to do it,” Jaidan said. “One of my mom’s friends said that she was a manager and she could watch over me – and my mom finally said yes!”
Although she says she was a little nervous about auditioning for movies in the beginning, Jaidan quickly learned about the casting process and how to land a role.
“After I went on my first two auditions, I got more used to it and got more in the hang of it, and I think I started becoming more outgoing the more I did it,” Jaidan said. “The first thing I got was a Burger King commercial and then eventually I worked on the show Workaholics on Comedy Central. That was really fun.”
Over the past couple of years, Jaidan has had the opportunity to walk the red carpet, attend entertainment industry events, hang out on the set of E! News with Jason Kennedy and Cat Sadler and meet celebrities like Scott Baio and Christopher Knight. She has also crossed paths with other up-and-coming stars like Jaden Smith, Cameron Boyce, Skai Jackson, Chelsey Valentine, Evan Hofer, Isabella Palmieri, Acacia Brinley and Kyle Massey.
“I’ve met a lot of people,” Jaidan said. “That’s another fun part of this industry for me is getting to meet everybody.”
When she isn’t acting, Jaidan also enjoys reading The Hunger Games trilogy, drawing, dancing, singing and playing her new guitar. She’s no stranger to the music industry either. In addition to starring in two music videos, for rock bands Twin Atlantic and Boyce Avenue, she also takes singing lessons and has even had some studio time herself.
But there’s no doubt acting is her passion. You can see it in her beaming smile when she poses for pictures behind-the-scenes.
“Honestly, I love being on set. It’s so much fun for me. No matter what I’m doing,” Jaidan said. “I definitely want to be on a show, eventually. I like the idea of being on set – getting to come week after week and having a schedule. It just sounds amazing to me. Even being on Deadtime Stories was such an amazing experience for me.”
