“Tiffany Alvord is taking over AwesomenessTV”
Exclusive Interview by Michael Aaron Gallagher of StayFamous.Net

Tiffany Alvord
Tiffany Alvord is known for her cheery disposition and her popular music. But unlike a lot of mainstream recording artists, she started out small, posting videos of herself singing on her YouTube channel for her friends and family to see.
Now, with more than 1.1 Million YouTube subscribers and nearly 260 Million video views, she has performed for audiences around the world. On her popular AwesomenessTV web series “Tiffany Takeover,” she shares a behind-the-scenes look at her music career with her ever-growing fan base.
In a recent interview with StayFamous.Net, Tiffany talked about her music and what she enjoys most about being on AwesomenessTV.
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “How did you get involved with Awesomeness TV?”
Tiffany Alvord: “They actually contacted me. They threw this idea out there about ‘Tiffany Takeover’ and how they’d love to have me be a part of AwesomenessTV. And I loved that idea and so that’s how it all got started.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “For people who may not have heard of you before. How would you describe your music?”
Tiffany Alvord: “I would describe my personality as bubbly, fun and outgoing, and my music is definitely happy, feel-good kind of music – also love story, relationship type stuff. Just really relatable music.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “It seems like everybody on the internet posts videos of themselves singing. What are some of the doors that have opened in your career as a result of being on YouTube?”
Tiffany Alvord: “Well, basically everything I’m doing with music is because of YouTube. AwesomenessTV for example is one opportunity. I’ve had the opportunity to go on tour with Boyce Avenue, and I’ve been to China and Singapore, and so all these touring options and being able to record and share my music is all because of YouTube.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “What are some of the lessons you’ve learned as a result of being on YouTube that you might not have otherwise learned?”
Tiffany Alvord: “I’ve learned that you always need to love what you’re doing, and if it’s not fun, it’s not worth it…. I love music so much that it’s always worth it. But I’ve also learned that you need to be really careful who you’re working with in the industry. Because unfortunately, a lot of people can take advantage of you. So you just got to be careful and go with what feels right.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “If you could go back to when you were 15 and first starting out, is there anything you might do differently in your videos or songs you’d want to record over again?”
Tiffany Alvord: “Sometimes when I first started posting videos I’d be like, ‘Oh, I wish I could re-do that,’ or ‘I could do this better.’ But it’s kinda cool… looking back and being like ‘Oh wow, I’ve improved in this way or that way.’ But I think the only thing is, on my first video my brother told me not to smile, so I wish I would have smiled.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “When you first started out was it difficult for you to deal with criticism from people in comments? What was it that made you keep making more videos and having the confidence to keep putting yourself out there?”
Tiffany Alvord: “You know, when I first started YouTube was pretty new and people were a lot less harsh. And most of the feedback was always supportive or ‘You could try to do this.’ It was constructive criticism, but it wasn’t mean, like how people can be today.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “Is it hard for you to deal with negative comments – do you try to look for the good in it or do you just kind of brush it off?”
Tiffany Alvord: “For the most part, I try to just ignore all the haters. I mean sometimes it can get to you, but you can’t let it. Because for every one hater there’s 10 people or 100 people who love it. So you just got to focus on the people that do like it, as opposed to the one person who doesn’t.”
Michael Aaron Gallagher: “What do you think is the ‘Awesomest’ thing about AwesomenessTV?”
Tiffany Alvord: “I think the ‘Awesomest’ thing about AwesomenessTV is how friendly and nice everyone is. It’s just such a fun atmosphere. And so it just feels like you’re just hanging out with friends whenever you’re doing anything with AwesomenessTV, which is awesome.”
