Chelsey Valentine loves acting (Exclusive Interview)

At 11 years old, actress Chelsey Valentine is already building an impressive Hollywood resumé that includes a recurring role on the FX original series American Horror Story: Asylum.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Chelsey began acting when she was 6 years old and quickly discovered a passion for becoming different characters.
“I started out in plays and I really enjoyed it,” Valentine said in a recent interview with StayFamous.Net. “I always saw kids acting on [TV] and I thought one day I’d want to be an actress and be in TV shows. And I asked my parents and they said, yes.”
Since then, she has landed several small television roles on The Closer, NCIS, The Middle and Ghost Whisperer.
In her first two episodes of this season’s American Horror Story, her character is introduced in a dramatic way.
“I play Missy Stone,” Valentine said. “And I’m riding my bike and I get hit by Jessica Lange’s character, Sister Jude.”
The episodes, which took her five days to shoot, had hauntingly real special effects.
“There were actually two different me’s,” Valentine explained. “I had a dummy made for me and I also had a stunt double. She was awesome. She was the one who broke the windshield and rolled off of the car… And then they switched us out and I was on the ground.”

Although it wasn’t her first time playing a scary on-screen role, Chelsey had the opportunity to work with Hollywood veteran and two-time Oscar award-winning actress Jessica Lange (Tootsie).
“Getting to work with Jessica Lange, is like the most exciting part for me,” Valentine said.
In a role that will undoubtedly garner the attention of other Hollywood casting directors, Chelsey Valentine is ready for exciting things ahead in her acting career.
After all, whether she wins a golden Emmy statuette someday or discovers a treasure while gold panning on the banks of the San Gabriel River (one of her intriguing hobbies) – she’s bound to strike gold.
