On a busy day at AwesomenessTV headquarters in Los Angeles, California, the girls from IMO were about to field interview questions about their popular YouTube web-series, when co-host Audrey Whitby took the lead and explained what her talk show is all about.

IMO stands for ‘In My Opinion’,” Whitby told StayFamous.Net, “I always say it’s like The Talk but for teens – a bunch of girls sitting on a big yellow couch and we get to share our opinions on new fashion trends, social media, and serious stuff, including bullying.”

At age 16, Audrey is a multi-talented host, singer and actress with a bright future ahead of her in Hollywood. Best known for her recurring role as Audrey Vale on Disney Channel‘s So Random! and guest-starring roles on Austin & Ally and Dog with a Blog, she also hosts Bop magazine’s Bop Report and occasionally appears in music video spoofs for AwesomenessTV.

Trained in theater, voice acting and improvisation, as well as dancing (ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop), Audrey received the 2007 Actor of the Year award at The Civic Awards in Kalamazoo, Michigan, before going on to land several television roles. With a knack for making people laugh, her contagious cheerfulness, quick-witted improv skills and her exceptional talent for physical comedy, it is no wonder that, like her favorite comediennes, Audrey excels on the small screen.

“My whole life I’ve loved sketch comedy,” Whitby said. “I watch SNL religiously. My idols, I always say are Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler… I love funny women. I respect them so much.”

In addition to her acting, Audrey shares co-hosting responsibilities on IMO with Gracie Dzienny (from Nickelodeon’s Supah Ninjas), Teala Dunn (of the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet?), Meaghan Dowling (@TeenThings), Bethany Mota (MacBarbie07), and Ciara Bravo (Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush).

“I think people would be surprised to hear I’m kind of considered the weird IMO girl out of all of us,” Whitby said. “My whole life I’ve been called really quirky and weird every now and then… So to kids out there that feel like they don’t fit in, I’m just like you. I might be the quirky one, but I’ve learned to surround myself with people who truly accept me for all of my quirks.”

Whether they are discussing lighthearted topics like One Direction and Justin Bieber or more serious issues like bullying, with Audrey and the rest of the IMO girls, you never know where the conversation might lead.

“My favorite topics are probably anything to do with Miley Cyrus. I love her,” said Whitby (who happens to do a great impression of her). “I also love when we do our hashtag episodes. We do #DidIReallyJust. I love the comedy in that. I think my #DidIReallyJust was #DidIReallyJust step into the shower with my socks on?!”

In her role as a co-host, Audrey has become a beacon of positivity, not only by sharing advice about maintaining positive energy and confidence, but also by challenging kids to think about spreading kindness in their own lives.

“I hope it helps all the girls out there who watch our show,” Whitby said. “That’s our goal.”
