Known around the world for its unique line up of short films, documentaries, filmmaker forums and full-length pictures, the Syracuse International Film Festival (SYRFILM) is an inspiring tribute to the cultural diversity found in world cinema today. In its sixth year hosted in Syracuse, New York, the 10-day festival continues to grow in both attendance and the quality of its presentation, attracting movie enthusiasts from across the United States, and filmmakers from as far away as Japan, Israel, Russia, and the Czech Republic.



The 2009 Syracuse International Film Festival is currently underway, running from April 24 – May 3. Tickets are available at http://www.syrfilmfest.com/.

“How to Get Into the Business” (May 2) – for writers, actors and directors looking for ways to get into the movie industry
“New Technologies in Animation Forum” (May 2) – Including a lead animator from Disney/Pixar’s “Up”
